Department of Land and Water Resources Engineering
We want to participate and contribute to fulfil the demands of
the society for a sustainable and effective utilization of natural
resources based on the best scientific understanding and engineering.
Studies of the natural resources are carried out from the perspectives
of the societal needs coupled to the social sciences.The impacts
of different cultural diveristies in the utilization of natural
resources is an important perspective of our development. Knowledge
and methods for utilization and protection of natural resources
include all scales from the local to regional both within and
across the national boundaries.
The doctoral programs presently include 5 disciplines:
groundwater chemistry, land and water resources studies, hydraullic
engineering, water resources engineering and engineering geology.
The undergraduate programs include the study programs
in Surveying and Civil Engineering. A new program on Natural Resources
Engineering has being launched recently.
An International Masters Programme in Environmental
Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure (EESI) is administrated
at the department.
A new International Masters
Programme in Water Systems Technology
(WST) started in September 2007

The department is a part of the School
of Architecture and the Built Environment.
